Girlhood is a fever, I come down with it every night,
My body rebels, rejecting nourishment and sunlight.
An inflammation disproportionate of all my limbs, aglow;
I could wander the whole world, with my lovely fever in tow.
Girlhood is a fever, it shattered my mother, too,
From where you were born, it cries of blood-shed, every month, anew.
With a creative flame ablaze,
that burns with adventure and daring in girlhood's vivid maze.
Oh darling, some wonders never cease to bloom,
Girlhood is a fever, it will stain every single room.
Silently it simmers, within me it grows,
Delusions of changing the world, a vision that flows;
My soft eyes, my magnificent mind, are a powerful source.
Novelty awaits at every turn, an uncharted course.
mysticism beckons me, so near,
immortality, the only life path we revere.
In the thick of girlhood's fever,
I revel in thunderstorms and rain,
Stomping in puddles (a dance of freedom,)-
I hope my dreams never run away.
